Why is it a must have tool? - It is accurate, weather and water resistant, structurally sound - it will not delaminate or fall to pieces like most other timber mitre boxes. The Mitre Box is pre-cut, making it very accurate and allowing you to use it straight away. Butt joints can be cut from the centre so they produce a tighter fit, giving you excellent cornice installation.

Your Mitre Box can cut up to 7 sizes if you are using the timber insert (sold separately), whilst the Mitre Box is versatile on its own right having 5 steps moulded into the base to take five different Gib-Cove or Cornice sizes, these sizes are:

• 55mm Gib-Cove or Cornice
• 65mm Gib-Cove or Cornice
• 75mm Gib-Cove or Cornice
• 90mm Gib-Cove or Cornice
• 100mm Gib-Cove or Cornice

Use the timber insert (sold separately) and you can add 2 more to the list of sizes:

• 50mm Gib-Cove or Cornice
• 85mm Gib-Cove or Cornice

Also note that the straight cut 90º is placed in the middle giving you an accurate butt join cut every time, as well as giving you a good anchor for your tape measure to measure your cornice from.
